Greaves

Greaves are a form of armour found during the time of Ultima VII.

Description

Instead of covering all of the legs like plate leggings, greaves only cover the knees and lower legs, leaving the upper legs to the mercy of an enemy's strike. This form of protection was much less common than plate leggings in Britannia, and the only merchant who sold greaves was Sir Richter of Serpent's Hold for 40 gp.

According to Vetron's Guide to Weapons and Armour, greaves have a protective value of "2".
