Bikchiz is a Martian who inhabited H.G. Wells's body for part of the events of Martian Dreams.

Description[edit]

The pretentious ambassador of the grove Elysium, Bikchiz had inhabited the body of the human H.G. Wells after the luckless author used the Martian Dream Machine. Bikchiz told the hero how he acted as official historian of the grove and assisted with communication amongst the different groves, including Argyre. The historian told the Avatar how Raxachk had sought to control the planet through domination of resources, and when that approach failed, threatened the planet with blackmail, creating a plague that would contaminate the Martian soil preventing the birth of future generations. With the release of Raxachk's plague, many Martians retreated into the Dream World, with the hope of someday returning to Mars when the planet had been decontaminated. Bikchiz hoped to temporarily borrow the human bodies so that they could restore the Martian race, but was devastated to discover that the plague remained dormant within the Martian soil.[1]

With the creation of mechanical bodies for the Martians, Bikchiz returned to Earth on Andrew Carnegie's rocket.
